Implementation, demonstration, and business plan/model development for signal processing and machine learning-based mobile health application

Wearable biomedical sensors combined with advanced signal processing and machine learning technologies provide new opportunities for early and improved detection of disease. For example, early detection of abnormalities in heart rhythm due to cardiac arrhythmia can save lives and significant medical costs. In this workshop, 1. ClinicalECGvs.WearableECGrecordings,theiradvantages/disadvantages, review of state-of-the-art technologies and products 2. Real-timeacquisitionofsingle-channelECGsignalsusingECGpatchsensors will be demonstrated. The attendees will measure and record their own ECG with the sensors recorded using a mobile application. 3. Signalprocessingandmachinelearning(ML)technologieswillbeintroducedand implemented for processing of the acquired noisy ECG recordings. 4. Finally,eachgroupwillworkonthesharedBusinessModelCanvastodiscuss and propose different business model elements including value propositions, potential customers, and finances.
