Berlin Type Workshop

Bi-lingual typography project.

The bilingual design project brings Berlin’s cultural diversity to life, blending modern design practices with the beauty of multilingual communication. Students will sharpen their digital and analog design skills while mastering the art of lettering, font selection and pairing through interactive workshops, studio visits, city walks, and collaborative projects. This immersive workshop offers exclusive visits to leading design studios like Studio Esp51, Lucasfonts, and Dinamo Type Foundry, where bilingual design is at the forefront. Participants will also embark on a special day trip to Leipzig, a city celebrated for its rich printmaking heritage. By the end of the program, participants will create unique design pieces that tell their personal story and experiences in Berlin. Final projects will reflect how bilingual design can connect cultures, inspire creativity, and foster deeper global understanding.
