The German International University (GIU) is a state-recognized university in Berlin, Germany, that strives for excellence in research and teaching as well as in integration of both. GIU offers accredited study programs in various fields in order to qualify students, especially in the technical sciences, for academic careers and/or to meet the demands of German, European and international employers. GIU Students Showcase AI Innovation

The “AI for Everyone” event at Humboldt Reinickendorf Library featured GIU Berlin’s international students presenting AI projects in sports, medicine, architecture, robotics, and app development. Organized with the Reinickendorf district office, the event connected students, researchers, and the community, highlighting how GIU fosters global talent and hands-on AI innovation in Germany.

Design Students Gain Insight from Berlin Studios

Fifth-semester design students visited Berlin studios STAN HEMA and Eike König, gaining firsthand exposure to professional design practice. They explored studio culture, creative processes, and project development, while discussing authenticity, cultural context, and problem-solving in design. Both visits deepened students’ understanding of balancing creativity, strategy, and artistic expression in real-world design work.

GIU supports Füchse Berlin sport club

Architecture students currently explore new solutions for expanding the sport club’s facilities. For inspiration, Prof. Jörg Joppien (TU Dresden) held a guest lecture sharing practical insights and engaging examples from the world of sports architecture, highlighting how thoughtful design supports functionality, creativity, and user experience in athletic spaces.
