The German International University (GIU) is a state-recognized university in Berlin, Germany, that strives for excellence in research and teaching as well as in integration of both. GIU offers accredited study programs in various fields in order to qualify students, especially in the technical sciences, for academic careers and/or to meet the demands of German, European and international employers. GIU promotes cultural cooperation through German education, cultural offers, intercultural events and other activities accompanying the study. GIU Team Innovates 3D Printing in Construction

Under the leadership of Prof. Giovanni Betti, students from GIU Berlin developed and fabricated a full-scale prototype, in cooperation with a prominent Dutch pioneer in the 3D concrete printing. Their research integrated protective cladding directly into the printing process, advancing more resilient and efficient large-scale earth-based construction.

Celeritas Competes at RoboRacer Master Cup

Team Celeritas of GIU Berlin competed at the 27th Roboracer Foundation event during IEEE ICRA conference in Vienna. The student-driven team qualified for the top-level Master Cup to challenge top competitors in advanced autonomous racing. The demanding large-scale track, variable grip conditions, and 3D bridge tested and advanced the system capabilities of the team, which came in second among all German universities.

Design and Architecture Shine at Berlin Design Week

At Berlin Design Week 2026, GIU Berlin’s Design and Architecture programs showcased outstanding student and faculty work. Projects from architecture, urban design, graphic design, and product design explored design across cultures and contexts, highlighting interdisciplinary collaboration, academic excellence, and the creative contributions of GIU students and faculty.
